-This meet is NOT intended for Skateboarders/Rollerbladers only, ALL MOTOWN MEMBERS ARE WELCOME!!!!! it is just being held at the skate park that i work at, which will have free parking, Skating, and Food.

I have been asked by my boss to try and bring as many events as possible to the park that i work at, and since i know a lot of people on here are into Skateboarding/Rollerblading i figured it might be a fun time to have everyone from Motown bring their cars up to Landslide for a meet.
Soooo.... There will be FREE skating the entire day for anyone that shows up with or in a car, and its no big deal if you don't have a skateboard or Rollerblades, we have plenty of rentals that you guys can use for FREE. You DO NOT HAVE to participate in skating whatsoever, but i figured that some of you may have a fun time, and well, its FREE. There will also be a BBQ!!!!!
.....and i mean, who doesn't want to watch some of the kids on here bust their ass? I think it would be a great time.


WHEN: Sunday, Jully 26th
TIME: 12pm-8pm
WHERE: Landslide Skatepark, 44621 Morley Drive, Clinton Township, MI 48036

I would like to get as many cars here as possible, and i would love to see a legit turnout.
Normal rules are going to apply, No burnouts, bass contests, racing etc. 94 is right down the street so you can go have your fun there if you cant handle yourself.
If you are going to be skating and are younger than 18 years of age then you are going to need to have a waiver filled out and signed by your parents. You can print the waiver from here - https://www.landslideproshop.com/v/v...f%20waiver.pdf
I am going to try to get a hold of my friend who works for DC Shoes to see if he can bring some free product out for the people who are bringing their cars, i will have more info on this in a little bit.
-So if you are going to be skating you are going to need a waiver filled out, and a helmet (if you decide to skate inside the park) We also have rental helmets which you guys can use for free.

Daryl is realllll sweet at skating and a cool guy as well! Last i knew, prolly a year or so ago, he was rocking a brand new civic SI, i herd he sold it though.

Anywho, id love to bring out my skateboard and have some fun that day. Although, i teach skateboard lessons at a local park up here in Marysville and that is my last day...hopefully ill have another car by then...haha

Hmmm, I haven't rollerbladed at a park in a long time. Maybe I will have to try to make it out to this. ;) Last time I went was a few years ago and I could still skate the halfpipe.

There is a new one also up here on 8 mile between Newburgh and Farmington, at the park in Farmington. I'd have to believe they allow bmx because I've seen a ton on people out there with all, bikes, boards and blades....From what I've seen from the road it also looks like a nice facility....

While I used to skate a LOT as a kid (and we even had a full size halfpipe built in my friend's backyard) I have NO PLACE on a board today. I know that even before I put a single foot on one. :lol: If you do ever see me even standing near a skateboard and a ramp, call the EMS in advance as their help WILL be needed very shortly. :roll:

Just an FYI to all of you 'hardcore' motowners. This is also posted on Xceedspeed with a list of about 20 of those guys going as well.

Please be warned there will be non-american cars at this meet as well im guessing. It is a car enthusiast meet, so no need to show up if some people dont think they can handle themselves around other styles or types of cars.

Motown is really an awesome place with tons of amazing friendly people i have meet over the last couple years. Although i do know there is a couple people on this site who may freak out if they show up and Xceedspeed people are there too. Im not trying to deture anyone from going, im active on xceed as well, i just wanted to point this out!


With that said, i cant wait for this, is should be a great time!
