2009 Annual Club Picnic Sun July 26th

Sunday, July 26th is the official Picnic day at Stoney Creek Metro Park.

We'll gather at the Southdale lot starting after 10:30am and fire up the grills for you by 11:30am. The park is located up around the 26 Mile and Mound Rd area.

I've attached the map of the park to help you see where the Southdale parking area is. It will be on the westside of the main road as you drive north into the park. So it's the first left after the Y-split in the road.

The daily pass is $4 to enter the park.

The club will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, the toppings, chips and pop to drink. If you would like to bring something other than hotdogs or hamburgers, we can find you some grill space too. We'll also have the plates, cups and plastic ware to go with it. Feel free to bring your own "drinks" but avoid glass containers because they can attract unwanted attention. Also feel free to bring along a dish to pass if you want too.

The whole family is welcome to come and so are club guests. So lets get people out there folks. Let us know if you are coming and if you are bringing others so we can get a tentative headcount for food.

We'll have our fourth annual picnic car show too. It’s a little incentive to get the people to clean up their rides and get the show cars out there. We'll try to have the three classes like last year: Mustangs, F-bodies, and everyone else.



The intention of the poll is to give Rick a rough head count for the Costco Shopping run on Friday/Saturday night.

So cast your votes and he'll shop accordingly.

We'll be bringing the hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, variety of pop, cups, plates, plasticware, chips and cookies from Costco. Feel free to bring a dish to pass if you would like to do so.

This event is open to all club members, site members, friends and family. So bring them out and bring the rides for the on the fly voting car show.

Had a great time today! Good turnout and glad everyone could come out. Few raindrops here and there but no big deal. Lots of dogs and kids that came out today. That was fun. Lots of laughs and Rick a rita's consumed. Thanks for bring the food Rick! Dang, I had my camera and didn't take too many pics today. That is so unlike me! :lol:
