"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."
ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.
ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes. (This is a pet peeve...get an education and go to work....don't expect everyone else to take care of you!)
ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.
ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other
citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.
ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to
wherever you came from! (lastly....)
ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!!!!
If you agree, share this with a friend. No, you don't have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don't. I just think it's about time common sense is allowed to flourish. Sensible people of the United States speak out because if you do not, who will?

I'm Calling BS on article XI. Better understand that the founders tried a new social experiment. There is a reason that their is no national religion. Country was not founded on those beliefes. The revolutionary war was started over tax's. The only components of history having to do with religious freedoms in Americas history was when the Puritans got thrown out of England and shipped off to america becuase they didn;t want them in that country either.

Which History books are you reading? The puritans left England on their own free will. They were being persecuted, AND a good majority of them didn't even come from England. They came from Holland.

It has no place in goverment and the founders felt so strongly on the subject that they wrote a whole article into the constitution about it.

You talk about free speech but mention God and look out. BTW where is that article? Seperation of church and state means the gov't can't force you to believe or fellow a religion. Thanks to the ACLU that seems to be a capital crime now.

I have no problem with you having or following your religious values in your private life or private spcae. where i draw the line is where you inject it into the bounds and confines of pulic life.

So if you see "in god we trust" isn't right but yet talking about gay marriage, having sex w/ children is ok. No wonder why this country is going to hell. It used to be judges, etc were to uphold the law. Now they get to interpret-there is no right/wrong it's how they see it. So the whole Thanksgiving was a "myth"? i think the problem is a lot of Liberals just can't stomach people beliving in God (a.k.a. a higher power) they will do whatever to persecute, ridicule etc. those who do believe. And if you dare even try to talk religion-banish the thought. Where did you find that btw?

just google puritan and all sorts of Real history that isn't tuahgt in schools but is documented starts popping out of the woodwork.
Secondly you need to stop with the morality debate it has nothing to do with governing. Personal choice laws are what is destroying this country, the war the church has raged on the American goverment is rediculous and the funny thing is that this is history again repeating itself.
Stop trying to draw your argument into a mudslinging debate and act like a sane human being. I don;t even like the assertion you have now made twice about pedaphilia. Its a lude and rediculous comment. I am not for the last time getting into a morality debate with you. This would be Part of the social issue i have with religion in goverment. . Its not the point of the post i made. I am generally speaking about the mechanics of goverment. religgion doesn;t belong there. I will concede however that the children of this country do need protection and the people hurting them need prosecution but i am not going to get into a batte of age of consent etc. I don't really have an infomred opinion on the matter i have read no studys or research and heard varying sides of the entire argument. Therby i am nutueral and shall remain so on the issue. However do not think of me as being unreasonable there are just some issues about age etc that need to be sorted out.I think the laws on the books now are most likely a fairly good evolution. the problem is that they vary state to state like a 30yr old man marrying a 13yr old girl in a few southern states is still legal. why isn;t annyone doing anything about that ?
to be truthful i find that far more disgusting then 2 men getting married

There's the problem. Where do you think the laws come from? Why do you think it's wrong to murder someone? I thought that's where some of ours laws came from. :dunno: If bringing morality is wrong then I guess I'm not being a sane human being. The war church is raging on gov't-where do you get this? Personal choice laws-you support a party that is for PRO-CHOICE a.k.a. abortion. Are you for this? Listen I'm conseravtive first and will vote that way no matter if it's Deomcrat,Rep,etc. One question, do you have kids. How do you teach them right or wrong. Teaching them that IS a morality thing and is what a lot of our basic laws have come from. I'm not personally attacking you just wondering where some of this stuff you're saying is coming from. i guess we can agree to disagree. :dunno:

the thoery behind any law should and always will be did someone have there rights violated. If the answer is no then it should be legal. this is were i deviate from the crowd. I get the thoery the founders are attempting to get out.As long as your rights are not violated then how is there a crime ?
a good example. A guy drinking a beer in his house in california how does that affect you ?? now the same guy driving drunk in michigan that directly affect you becuase you are now traveling on a road that has been made unsafe becuase someone is not capable of operaing a motor vehicle.
Anything else IE what ever it might be unless it directly affects someone else shouldn't be illegal.
Someone stealing your car violates your right to pursue happiness and secure your personal property. you get the idea now ? However jamming the phrase under god on money etc into the pldge violates the rights of those who don't have a faith violates there right to not particpate in relgion. This is where i strongly disagree with the goverment. governing should be secular. If its not then how can we call america a Free society ? is it only a free society as long as your christian ?

No that's not what I'm saying. How does putting the motto on the money "violate" someome's right in participating in religion? I think that is taking it to an extremem. It's a saying and in no way are you participating in ANY type of religion. Listen I know you not a religious person anf that's fine whatever. But don't you think this is taking it a bit far? I guess we'll agree to disagree. :) Damn I gotta go to bed.

Fact is that that particular phrase was not in the pldge until the 1950's. SO its the relgious fervor in this country that has cuased this to occur. For the record the goverment should never make any refernce to any religion. Just the facts sir pay the bills protect the borders provide needed services otherwise piss of.
it took the treausary about 100yrs for it to appear on the money
http://www.treasury.gov/education/fact-sheets/currency/in-god-we-trust.shtml
So stop saying that this is a christian country i am sick of this argument, Honestly If you have a particuar set of morals you wish to raise children with etc then please feel free to do so. If it falls into the confines of a religion then please feel free to do so But plase stop acting like this country is for christians only.

Who said it was for Christians only? I never said that! IT"S WORDS ON MONEY THAT'S IT. I don't look at my money and go "wow that's a Christianphrase" I honestly don't even pay attention to it. Apparently you have nothing better to do. I don't God splattered all over gov't. Maybe your just paranoid. If that's why you're so in a huff than fine-think there's other things you need to worry about other than seeing "in God we trust" on your money.

there you go with your mixed up version of history. Go get the book "under God" and read it. The founding fathers didn't want religion kept out of government, they wanted government kept out of religion. Realize at the time that the US was founded, we were escaping a government that persecuted and monitored all religions. It didn't allow religious freedom at all. When they got here and setup their "rules" the immediately set it up so that government couldn't control religion.

It's just words on money until its words you dont believe in. If our money said "We like to molest little boys", would you still argue that "it's just words on money"?
