My problem with a lot of the hollywood types i.e. actors,performers,etc. is that they are quick to tell you how you should live and how everything is but yet don't follow it themselves. For example saying SUVs are horrible and you shouldn't own/drive them when they have them themselves(Julia Roberts). They live in a fanatasy world not the real world.

Like it or not, very few politicians (democrat or republican) kids served in the military. That is the way it was back in Vietnam and that is the way it is now. Is it right, no, but our armed forces are voluntary, and even if there was a draft, there are always ways to get around it if you know how.

Sounds like JJ has been sniffin' too many welding fumes. Everyone has a right to express their feelings toward someone, but on the same token many times they end up making an ass out of themselves trying to get their point across, as is the case here. They could have expressed themselves much better than that and still get their message across, but they had to do it in an adolescent way by speaking with their emotions. hes probably right on visiting iraq, but he probably didnt stray to far from an lsa, camp or the green zone, for the most part people on those types on installations have no clue there is a war going on. officers in the green zone have asked my xo when he had to testify there "uhh so hows it really going?" im not saying like captians and such, but full birds and even major generals. this war is being fought by a select few who actually know whats going on. i refuse to vote for bush because of his service records. and hes fucking goon of a secretary of defense who hasnt served either. bush air national guard during vietnam, and didnt show, what a fucking tool. im pretty sure mccains kid is in the marines. hes got my vote for sure if he gets the ticket. and was he a pilot or sf in vietnam, i know he was a pow for a while. while dont agree completly that bush is a dickhead, he does some really dumb things sometimes, but i like how he makes a decision and stands by it. but this war is being fought in the completly wrong way and im just a fucking joe, and i can see the millions just being wasted. its rediculous. 90% of chow halls here are like feasts 4 times a day run by kbr a subsideary (sp) of haliburton, mine is one of the few actually with army cooks, who btw suck at cooking, but thats they way it should be, because kbr is a huge waste of money. the public transportation system on the biap complex is better than they have at my base, if a soldier doesnt have a ride at campbell his ass is walking wherever hes got to go. theres like 30 something busses rolling around the whole thing up there, its just like they think of ways to waste money. it seems like every other person up their has a brand new government suv to drive around in. its fucking rediculous. all those suv's for people who are miles behind the wall, miles from the war, yet theirs still soldiers here who have crap armor on their humvees. its like fema run the dod too. i was up a biap last week, and i saw a LOT of at least 75 suv's and pickups brand fucking new not being used, yet i know people who have the old humvees with jus the up armor kit on it, which is a joke, its just doors and glass, it offers 0 protection against ied's, god i hate the goverment rant off for now

with what you are doing for this country you can rant off as long as you want, especialy on a subject like this. getting first hand information is alot better than getting it from a government official that wants you to only know parts of what is going on. Actually I was just in LA 2 weeks ago. I met him, and Sandra at his restraunt. (no bullshitting here folks) Two things I observed from that visit to WCC.

1) He's definltey got his feet on the ground. For being at celebrity status, and having more money then god, he is down to earth and knows where he came from. It was awesome to bullshit at lunch with the guy.

2) The guy has got great taste for automobiles. After lunch, he and Sandra boogied out in an Red Enzo Ferrari. ((PRICE TAG $654,000))

I was at a hotel on an interview thing and saw some interview with her about JJ and he pretty much stalked her for awhile until she finally went on a date with him...she seems super stuck up and I don't think she's hot at all.

As for doing lunch with them, I'd rather spend time with someone I could learn something from...celebrities don't impress me...whine too much and know too little.
