Ok i have a 78 case fill C4, rev manual vb and a edge pro covnertor..

The trans has been in the car for about 5000 miles give or take..

and only about 10 track passes but a bunch of street abuse..


Well the last couple days when I start it after it sits for a few hours. When you put it in gear it does nothing acts like theres no line pressure. but if you rev it up alil it will hit into gear.

then you can drive it around and it drives fine no issues shifting or anything no flare... stop shut if off and run in a store or somthign come back out and its fine aslong as it still hot..

Anyideas?

when was the last time you changed the trans fluid and filter...

id check that out, maybe the filter is plugged...

i bought it from doctor on here.. i was told it was fresh and the t-guy from lidio's place did it.

they break all the time, you got alot of use out of it...

no not off hand, i do know they are a few weeks behind.. i used to rebuild my own, they are pretty easy to do...i would get the parts from d&e on 10mile in hazel park...

yea there's a D&E right by me on northline.. i got parts there for the fwd tranny i had in the GLH

can you fit 7 clutches in the front hub i've seen 6 is comomon? and is a 6 pinion planetary nessasary.. im prob around 550 on the bottle

planetary is usually the first thing to go and the input shaft....i went pretty fast with stock planetary and input shaft but it broke often, then i spent the money on a pa super comp trans and its well worth it...
