I recently put a TKO in my stang and I am having problems shifting. It doesn't have many miles on it and I was wondering if it just needs to be broken in. When I shift from 1 to 2 it feels like you hit a gate in the middle. The higher the RPM's the harder it is to shift. In a race I have to pull like hell to barely get it to go, or let off the gas a little. It just doesn't seem right and I was wondering if anybody has some experience with this trans. My buddy bought one a couple years earlier and doesn't seem to have any problems.

Check the cable adjustment and make sure the clutch is releasing all the way.

Mine did that too, I will NEVER own another one. Brand new, right out the box, and I couldn't believe it. :bs:

Sometimes I have seen problems with the stock shifter. We had the same problem and it went away when we went to a B & M shifter.

It doesn't grind into reverse, and I already replaced the shifter to see if it would help. I went with a Steeda because thats what the speed shop had on the shelf at the time.
