MY ABS light is on now. Was on before then was off for a few months. It is a 2001 F150 two heel drive F150 with a 4.6 auto. Has 4-wheel abs with disc brakes all around. Any ideas?

Most likely one of your wheel speed sensors. :icon_mrgr

That is something that will be hard to find possibally. It may have to be taken to a dealer and hooked up to the scan tool. I would do a visual in all of them and the wires and plugs. I would as well check your brake fluid and your ABS modual. If nothing abnormal is found its possiablly something in the ABS computer or a failed sensor, in which it would need to be scanned to find out exactly what is wrong.

Cool thanks. Probably gonna have to take it in to the dealer. :(

I assume you're talking about the cruise control recall. It's going in for that very soon.

Nothing wrong with technology. I like carbs just because they're cheaper. ABS is a good thing. Sucks if you have to fix it though.

I have a 2000 F150 2wd and my ABS light was on. I checked it with my scan tool and it was a code for the rear sensor (In the diff., not at the wheels). I erased the code and it came back as soon as the truck moved 5 ft in drive. I bought a new sensor, put it in and all has been fine.

my autotap won't get abs either. I would do it if I had something to scan it with.
Just pray its not like the ford ecu faulted code

My scan tool can do it. But I know I'm a ways from ya. I think I bought the turbo coupe motor from ya a while back. It looks like a couple of MM guys will be here at my house around noonish. I'll run the codes for ya.
Wish I could make it. Now the damn lights off. This thing is really pissing me off.
