Giving some nukes to India might work out o.k.
1) they already had some.
2) they just might take out Pakistan, not a bad idea ultimately.
3) they make a nice counter to China in the region and don't much like 'em.

Ummm, no... that's OURpresident.
The same was true when Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, etc...was in office.
I may not have agreed with some of the policies prescribed by these presidents, but each one was still my president. The type of thinking you are promoting with a statement such as this is un-American and detrimental to our society at many levels.

He was voted in as President of the United States, so he IS your President no matter how much you disagree with him. You need to respect the position, not necessarily the person or the politics.
BTW, moral behaviors? You mean like cheating on your wife in the oval office, then lying about it while under oath? Or do you mean having homosexual affairs with congressional pages? I don't think any professional politician has any morals. We need to go back to a government of the people, by the people, for the people.

theoritically yes this could be true. But retorot it could be true in any religion.I always thought this wasn an interesting statement and perspective.I am not religous in the least but i can see the point being made here. You are ultimately responsiable in how you act. The problem comes in those reaching to others for guidance and being taken advatage of.
Qoute from Kingdom of Hevean
King Baldwin the 4th:
Come forward. I am glad to meet Godfrey's son. He was one of my greatest teachers. He was there when, playing with the other boys, my arm was cut. It was he, not my father's physicians who noticed that I felt no pain. He wept when he gave my father the news, that I am a leper. The Saracens say that this disease is God's vengence against the vanity of our kingdom. As wretched as I am, these Arabs believe that the chastisement that awaits me in hell is far more severe and lasting. If that's true, I call it unfair. Come. Sit. When I was sixteen I won a great victory. I felt in that moment that I should live to be one hundred, now I know I shall not see thirty. You see, none of us chose our end really. A king may move a man, a father may claim a son. But remember that, even when those who move you be kings or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God you cannot say "but I was told by others to do thus" or that "virtue was not convinient at the time. This will not suffice. Remember that.

Sean,
This is a constant refrain of your's - all religions are the same. Now, this may make you feel better deep inside somehow, but it is simply NOT the case. Certainly, there are certain components that the majority of religions have in common. An example of one such component would be the role that faith plays in each. Still, it isn't that one has faith, what is most important is where one places that faith. I can have great faith that an apple is God, but it isn't the amount of faith at this point that matters much, but the object of that faith.
Furthermore, I have said this on other occasions, but I think it bears repeating once again. It is intellectually dishonest to attempt to equate the teachings of Islam (and the subsequent actions of its followers) with the teachings of Jesus Christ (and the subsequent actions of its followers).
Inherent in the very core of Islam's system of faith is the belief and TEACHING that anyone who does not submit to Islam is an infidel and worthy of death for such rebellion. This is a part of its system and teachings from the FOUNDER of the religion itself, Mohammed.
As much as you would like to ignore the obvious, this is not true of Christianity and particularly it's founder - Jesus Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 6:43-48, "You have heard that it was said, 'Love you neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of you Father in heaven...If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors (those hated in Jewish society and considered quite evil) doing that? And if you greet brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Continuing this theme, the Apostle Peter wrote to Christians the following instructions, "Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name" (1 Peter 4:12ff).
The point is this - when Christians do stupid things (and obviously, this is the case far too often), and hate, and are evil, and unkind etc....this is CONTARY to what Jesus taught. They will be judged for their disobedience by Him someday.
This is not the case with Islam. When Muslims blow-up things, destroy, kill and hurt others for the purpose of converting infidels and bringing the world under the domination of Islam - they do so because of what their founder (Mohammed) has commanded them to do. You can deny this, twist this with all the "Well, they're just not educated" arguments that you would like, but this doesn't change the facts of what is at the core of the religion itself.
Are there peaceful Muslims? Yes. But this is because they have chosen to ignore many of the core teachings of Mohammed himself.
Interesting isn't it that the further people move AWAY from the core teachings of Muhammed, the more peaceful they become. Whereas, the closer that people move TOWARD the teachings of Jesus Christ, the more peaceful they become. This is quite a contrast.

He hit the point right now. You're implying that the violent ones in Islam do so on their own free will and are not taught to act the way they do or aren't led to be violent. This isn't true. The religion itself demands punishment for worship of any other god than Allah. Christianity teaches that this type of violence is completely and utterly unnaceptable. Islam's violent people aren't fanatics, they are simply following what the religion teaches them to do. If you want to stick to the idea that they chose this and it's their own responsibility to not act violently, then you had better be ready to stick to that line of thought in your political life as well.
