Huge deal. I can't wait to see another strongly worded letter from the UN sent to Kim Jong Il. I bet this time he will stop

This is really all Bush's fault. If he had blocked the movie "Team America" Il wouldn't have continued testing his WMD. :D

I think they will be screwed if they keep playing around. I don't think China is going to put up with it, and I know the rest of Asia thinks he is a nut job and want's them gone.

If you have NUKES, BUSH won't invade.

Gee... I wonder why rogue nations are in a rush for Nukes...:mmm:

The Japanese are likely to re-militarize with this developement. Neither the Chinese, the Russians, or the Japanese are particularly happy about this.
DPRK is becoming an out of control rogue to the Chinese. And for our left leaning friends, let's not forget the Clinton admin's contributions to Kim's
technology. Sure, just give him what he asks for and he'll behave. Appeasement has always been a solid policy historically. He took what he could get, and then re-nigged on his commitments virtually immediately.
Who would've guessed it would go that way...................................:pow:

Sooo Kim had Nukes under Clinton??? Or did Bush run his mouth about "rogue nations / axis of evil" and can't back it up?

I thought we traded food for weapons with N Korea ?

I thought we traded food for weapons with N Korea ?

Along with two cold water reactors for "power generation". That's what was
public anyway. Who knows what with the Loral crap to China and all.

Edit: The reactors we gave them are called "light water" reactors and can be used
to process weapons grade plutonium. Well done Ms. Albright, well done.

See my post above.

Edit: Actually, the Clinton team only gave them the equipment required to refine
their weapons grade plutonium, no biggie. This was 1994. At the time, it was said
that they were 10 years away from a bomb. Tick-tock, it's been 12.

didn't he already have reactors though before hand ?

I think he did, but they were the old Soviet open style deals. I don't know
enough about this crap to be more specific. I just know that I wouldn't be
helping this pinhead along with ANY usable technology upgrades.

Your a moron. We dont have to invade, we will bomb them further into the stone age from submarines.

Heres what is going to happen. Il starts to churn out small nukes like we build cars. Highest bidder can buy one. Al Qaeda and Chechnyans have probably already got their orders in for the first ones off the line. The U.S. is probably safe at the moment since we all know how their first long range missile test turned out. Tel Aviv and Bagdad will probably be the first places most likely to be destroyed by small yield weapons. But with a few more years, the now emboldened Axis of Evil (Thanks Democrats!) will have money pouring in from all over to further develope the new toys.

The best we can hope for at this point, is that President Bush will say fuck the UN and start sending alot of Short Range missiles to Japan for the inevitable conflict.

Your shit is so illogical it makes your already transparent one-note act even more so. Must be nice to have an excuse for everything.

I'm off to get some more of that Afghanistan oil...

Foolsgold80z

I think you may be right this time. There is little to be gained by us
attacking them, short of a nuclear strike to completely incapacitate their
ability to respond against Seoul, and THAT ain't gonna happen. It's going to be up to the Chinese and Japanese to deal with this. If they sell a bomb to someone else, all bets are off. Good call Lefty!

There is only one problem with invading N. Korea and that is China. China has almost 1/6 of the worlds population and is an ally of N. Korea.

we dont need to invade. all we need to do is launch trident missiles from a submarine and destroy all the reactors in that country. which we wouldnt have to do, if Bill Clinton and Madeline Albright were'nt 2 of the stupidest people on earth.

We could do this, but without the nuclear warhead, I don't think their neighbors would like the radioactive fallout. But it would be better to let China take care of this IF they are actually getting pissed about it.

This is exactally why we shold have crossed the 38th parallel in the 50s remember the Korean Conflict is only is a cease fire so we could cross the border at any time and push those rice eater back to the great wall and the UN cant do a darn thing but the Chinese become the x factor

Should've pushed until they were swimming.

The yield from what they detonated was equivalent to about 500 tons of TNT. While that is small compared to the 12,500 ton of Hiroshima, the number is irrelavant because it's fucking nuclear! It's as stupid as using horsepower to measure the solid rocket boosters used to launch the space shuttle.

Stopping them is going to have to be done politically. With the media up everyones ass with a flashlight even a covert operation would be on CNN as it happens. Besides the fact we have no idea what they've got or where it is.
