View Full Version : power locks
Power locks on my Ford quit working. The remote entry still sounds but the locks dont work manually or with the remote. I checked the main fuse and it was good? Any help?

I have the same thing on my ford, locks work, but only from passanger sid switch. Driver side switch only works maybe 1 out of 200 times tried. I already put a new switch in. It almost sounds like it low on power when it does work.
Well I took into a shop where they kept it for three days. When I got it back they told me it was only a relay and now the locks work. Now my keyless entree is not working as it lighted and worked before I took it in. If it were only a relay the keyless should still work...right? I am wondering if they fried something during their probing for the original problem? Any hints

I did take it back. His mechanics suck and he spent about three hours looking at a spec sheet. Shouldnt he have been checking a fuse or something? Is there a fuse or something that controls the keyless pad? He told me to bring it back but from past experience he will try and use a process of elimination AT MY COST. I am not going for it this time. Is there any mechanics on this board that might be able to help?
