Looking to switch, since comcast wants to jack up the prices. I know all these advertised deals, but they usually come with "fees" :rolleyes: Anyone install or sell the service?

I don't install or sell the services, but if you're leaning one way or another, I really like my dishnetwork setup! I have it through AT&T, along with my home phone and my high speed wireless DSL cable, and pay a shade over 100/month for all three. I believe it's like 105 or something like that, and I haven't had an ounce of trouble with it and I've had it for like 3 years now....

My wife is an office manager for a placethat sells and installs both direct tv and dish network. She said she will answer any questions you have about either one.

we have had Dish Network for about 4 months now.

I have to be honest and say this about it

high winds and heavy rains forget being online or watching TV

we have 3 dishes here rightnow

one for the HD
one for the wildblue web
and another for our local channels

we have called and been put on hold for so long that we decided when our time was up with Dish we are switching to DSL

A few years back I switched from DirecTV to Dish Network after DTV decided to only allow me to see Lansing TV stations and not Detroit because of my zip code, even though I am located in Washtenaw Co. Like WTF, I don't want to see news segments about cows escaping the pasture and other such Lansing area news. :shake:

Thanks for the help guys, I called comcast to cancel and they were like "let me transfer you to a billing specialist and see what they can do." My bill went up like $5 and I have some movie channels now, guess that's what you have to do.

Yes and no, the promotional pricing was up, so they almost doubled the bill, then they backed it back down to just $5 more then what I was paying and gave the movie channels.
