S-Trim

standard pulleys

one piece crank pulley

had no issues with belt prior to blower install

now the belt it running up on the front of the AC pump
i spaced the tensioner back a 1/16th with washers, no change, i tightened the nut that goes over the water pump stud, nothing. everything else looks inline or so damn close it shouldnt matter. riding perfect on every other pulley. the tensioner doesnt look twisted or bent either

any ideas?

use a long straight edge on the pulleys. One is out of line

Sounds like a bracket is not suqare to the belt.

the pulleys can be linde up IE the belt runs straight but if a pulley is not squre to the drive setup it can make the belt ride up.

Sometimes the Blower Bracket will Flex and cause the Belt prob.
Also, To Tight of a Belt is not good for Decell it doesnt allow the Tensioner enough slack for the Blower To slow down acting like a Brake and Throwing the Belt!

blower belt is fine (so far) i am having a serpintine belt problem. at idle the belt rides up one groove on the front of the AC pump

it cant be aligned if its riding up the pump maybe the bracket it bent from flexing or you need a brace for it.

Ah, Seperate Belt Drives for Accessory Drive and Blower?

nope..... blower has its own belt.

Sean, it might be comming from the alts new location, when i put it on the bolt was smaller than the hole.. it could be comming from there then right? but only showing up on the A/C?

I think you are proboalby dealing with non square accesory drive issue.

the alt was missing the two metal "cones" that get pushed in both ends of the mounting holes. i am picking up a 3g alt tonight, well see if that helps

changed alt to a 3g, spaced air pump delete to line up with alt, water pump and crank are right on. AC and pwr steering are right on.

standing on the passenger side of the car, the belt goes towards the front of the car, comes to the tensioner and almost looks to go back to the rear and then up on the front of the AC pump.

so i thought that if i spaced out the AC pump out a bit it would put the pump where the belt wants to ride. put 2 washers behind all the bolts on the main steel bracket as to space the AC pump out................. made it WORSE!! started it up and the belt was 3 grooves off the front of the AC pump. so i took it all back apart. and it went back to the same shit. i fucking hate this shiiiit
