Garage Crawl???

Has MM ever done a Garage Crawl of any sorts?

I went this past Saturday with a good group of mostly older guys, Club name is "Easy Rodders" on an organized Garage Crawl.

Everyone met up at 16mi (Big Beaver) and Rochester. We all loaded up on this huge Bus and all toted off to Windsor to meet up with a Canadian Car club "Windsor Area Car Club":shrug:. They were also all piled into a bus and as a group we went to various cool garages and performance shops over there.

Beer, pop, water, during the trip and Pizza at the last stop were all provided. It was $30 for non-members and $20 for their members.

They rotate between the US side and Canada side between these clubs every year.


What about a trip the 1st year to our sponsors or some of you that have really nice setups with Garages?
It really was cool to see and fun to do. Something different instead of the Monthly B-dubs!

Sounds like kind of an "old guy" thing to do. That's why I LOVE IT!

They do this stuff with gardening clubs and what-not. Why not for gear-heads? GREAT IDEA! You know how many times I've wanted to see inside some of the shops around town but never set aside the time?
We can meet other members and actually talk, we can see sponsors shops and get ideas or even book appointments. Win win all around. I'm in!

I'm here, I'm here. :lol: We had soccer last night and then finished watching the game(s). So yeah it was a late night. I will see what I can get put together. I never said I wanted to run for anything. I honestly don't have access to the people or resources to put this together.
Also this is why I suggested it in the "Club Suggestions". As this is what this area is for I thought.

It almost has been a year since I 1st suggested it.:flasher:

Sorry Matt. I have some ideas for this but just haven't had the time to get it all together. It is still on my list of things to do if I can. The tricky part is finding garages we can stop at where there is enough room for a busload of people to mingle and check things out. The other task is finding a bus and coordinating a route we can take if we get enough volunteers.
