Whats the difference my v-2 ate it 2 weeks ago and vortech wants 1400 plus my junker i got a guy i've delt with on the net that has a v-1 that was rebuilt over winter and updated or whatever was done to it. Has about 1000 miles on it and wants to trade my junk one and 600. I think its worth it just wondering what the difference is.

ok did a little research and came up with it will spin about 3k less and make a little more noise do to different style gears. and the case is "beefier"

you got it. v2 is the quiet drive and the step up ratio is a little better so it spins faster with less pulley.

case is not "beefier" at all, they share the same case.

my V1 was WAY noisier than my V2. Did you ask vortech to rebuild yours? or did you send it in and they said you have to buy another? theres not reason they cant rebuild yours unless its completely trashed. for their major rebuild its only like $600

thats BS then.... they should be able to get a new volute and impeller.

tell them you want the Si-trim upgrade and minor rebuild. it cost me like $700 and included and new volute, impeller and minor rebuild.

is it an S-trim? if so since its there have them upgrade it to the SI-trim. Its a new impeller, bearings, seals and i got a new volute as well for ~$700

MUCH better blower than the S-trim

I seem to be hearing vortech wont rebuild the s-trims really anymore because they are trying to phase it out as the new SI-trim is in full production. almost everybody ive spoken to and read about that has sent in an s-trim for rebuild has been denied and told they cannot and will not rebuild it. theres absolutely NO reason they couldnt rebuild it unless the case itself is ruined along with the shafts and gears, impeller, bearings and seals. that way you need a new blower but anything short of the housings being broken, all other internal parts are replaceable.
