1980 monte build

im building a 1980 monte carlo

i got a 383 should be hopefully making high 400 or low 500hp and torq almost ready to drop in

-383 eagle rotating assembly 10.7:1 compression
-Patiot aluminum heads 64cc 2.02 intake 1.6 exhaust
-crane cam 488-510 lift 234-244 duration
-100 long cromoly pushrods
-7/16 1.6 ratio stainless steel roller rocker arms
-aluminum stud girdles
-high volume water pump
-hei 65k distrubitor
-holley 130gph mechanical fuel pump
-holley 770 street avenger carb
-double roller timing chain
-headers
-airgap intake manifold
-mint starter
-100 amp altinator

i also have a aluminum radiator
the g force dual exhaust cross member
dual electric fans
3 inch pypes ehaust x pipe wiht dumps
3000 rpm stall huges torq converter

the light blue has already been repainted and i should be getting a new vynal top for it soon

about to do some damage to it this weekend old motors coming out, heater box coming out cleaning and painting the engine compartment then hopefully dropping the 383 in

should be here sometime this week

the heater box plates in the engine bay is painted new motor mounts are boted to the frame now all im waiting on is a better engine crane and the motor will be in

nice car man i have a very similar setup, motor wise that is, do u plan on having it on a dyno because im also going for 500 hp and i have a bigger cam, comp custom grind 598 600 lift a weind highrise dualquad intake 202 194 alluminum heads msd ignition sytstem eagle internals also all 4340 and another thing i have more compression its 12.5:1 keithblacks so im curious to see wut hp u if u find out or even if u run the car letme no wut u run btw its in an 1982 camaro

what size motor u building 350, 355, 383

nice lookin motor i took my time when i put my 383 in my s10 and it looks sick.it took about a month to do and everyone was on my ass to get it done.But when it was done they were like damm that looks sweet.i like it nice project.

Sweet car...love the motor I'm going to be building a 383 just like that here real soon to put in my 66 mali....I been looking at a eagle balanced rotating assembly with 10.3:1 comp...I'm going with world product S/R 64cc or a set of them pro comp aluminum 210cc runners 64cc chambers heads with a nice cam :cheers:

looking good what color are you goin to paint it? i had my 383 dynoed before i put it in.it made 644hp on the last pull.i have a thread in her too its under the s10 project i got some pics.
