I picked up another coupe to keep my red one company. It is at Dave's getting built and I thought I would share some pics of the build.
If any of you haven't had the opportunity to see their work they do a great job and provide great customer service!!

They weld the small holes shut and cut metal to fill in the large holes. The front aprons they replace with new metal that is smooth and put a few bead rolls in it.
Here is an example because Dave is at the Superbowl this weekend so I don't have pics of mine yet.

He added the tow hook and tie down tabs...both will be handy!

Pretty similiar.....red 92 notch, not mini tubbed. AJE front with rod end arms, Kmember with mounts and AJE coil over drop spindle struts. Flaming river rack and shaft with Aerospace brakes. No rear end but Wolfe uppers/lowers and spherical bushings. Moly cage with through floor subframes...2.5'' cowl hood...blah blah blah....

As I said, I love it! No noise!!! Even heat, not a blast and chilly and another blast. Zero smell. Takes up no room.
A bunch of benefits I think....I had it in the house I grew up in and liked it so I put in the garage. It also helped that my Dad is a plumber. I always complained to him that I needed heat to finish my red car...well I have had heat for 5 years and it still isn't done!!! Laughing!

Thanks for the compliments guys, they are appreciated. I feel lucky to be able to get the car done exactly how I wanted, Dave is indeed a great guy to work with!!
A SBF, what else! I have a small inch Windsor for it. It is a nitrous motor that makes decent power N/A. I may change the cam in the winter to try to get some more out of it to run the All Motor at Milan. It still wouldn't be at the top of the ladder, but it will be fun!

Realistically, next year. I need to have it painted (god only knows how long that will take!!) and then wire it. The assembly is the fast part!!
Dave has had it 2 months. He has been to a couple races during that time to and did some cars for the NMRA race at milan. I told him from the beginning there was no rush.

This was made specific to my application. With the motor/mid plates the engine is down and back so it wouldn't work with a stock set-up. Dave would have to build one I believe, as it is not a "off the shelf" part.

YEP just before we fired up the plasma and cut off wheel and cut the shit out of the car! oh yea we wouldn't want to screw up the original 90's paint job!
If you have nothing better to do than to criticize something that stupid you have some serious issues. Funny you dont see me or my customers/friends talking Shit about other shops. Have you picked up a magazine in the last year and seen some of the 50K plus cars we've built with brooms laying against them???
The owner had no problem with it, he posted the picture, and Keith Is one of the most meticulous people I've met "not a bad thing"! The car was mine at one time and the paint was very faded and peeling original paint job!

Not to speak for Dave, but I don't think he is worked up.
I know you work for KTS and if someone had something to say about you or your boss regarding their craftsmenship or business practices I would hope that you would not accept that as OK either.
The car itself is a piece of shit, as seen from the pics, as you know it takes time and a lot of money to get it right. First step is done, the chassis work. Next year it should be a pretty nice cruiser.
If you have anything to add regarding Dave or his practice, I would ask you respectfully to give him a call or send him a PM.

Hi Bill,
Didn't I give you some spindles at Dave's?? Well, tell your Granddaughter that it went to a good home!!
Stay tuned for more updates......
Yes that was me and thanks again.... I know it went to a good home. I have pics of it in VA for before and afters if you want just pm me your e-mail address and i'll get them off to you. Dave has the pic possibly of my granddaughter posing with the car before I sold it to him, I lost that one when the computer crashed it was cool, for me i guess i'm a little biased....Its kind of ironic that she just mentioned to me yesterday if Dave got her race car done yet....LOL She's gonna kill me, i'm gonna have to find another white one....
ps. Throw a turbo on that thing and live up to your screen name and hang on.... LOL

Big thanks to "Jenga" from Belle Tire. Joe tracked down the glass for the car, even found me a rear window without defog!
I also have brand new quarter glass from another source.
I would recommend to anyone that they take out all the glass prior to chassis work to avoid the problem I had with it all damaged from not being covered. The front had to be changed anyway due to chips, the quarter windows were already shot due to the moldings, so really I only had to replace the rear and door glass.....oh well I guess.

Looks good! Are you happy with the quality of the exhaust, and would you recommend the shop that did the work? How was the customer service and turn around time? I had those mufflers on my red coupe, and they were WAY to loud for street driving but sound great(but then, I had them right off the collectors with turndowns).

Thanks Tony. Tim Murphy built them. His site is www.fabshopheaders.com the collectors are merge collectors that he builds too. I had v band flanges welded on to make it easier for me to take the exhaust off.
Did you race at brandenten? I looked in the HS bracket but didn't see you???

Hey Jim,
Nothing really new to report. All the interior pieces are accounted for. I am going to drop off the exhaust at Reiters to have the dumps welded on. I did not know what angle I wanted so the guy that built them did not weld them on....yep still anal. Also, I needed to make sure the exhaust was under 6 foot to fit in the tumbler!!!
I am in town this week so I hope to get that done AND drop all the stuff off for coating. If not, my wife will drop it off next week.
Going to try to head over to SKRCs to pick up a hood, nose and deck lid this week too.
Hopefully, Todd will also finish the chassis work that was not completed. Seats/re-do battery disconnect (battery would not fit where it was)/re-do the eye brow bar (too low)/re-do the seat belt tabs (not centered on the seats)/ Add a bar for the parachute handle.
After this stuff I will take to the body shop. This new job just does not allow me much time to do stuff and when I am home for the weekend there is just a ton of other stuff more important than this car.....
Keith your never in town. I would still like to see one of those cars run before I die

Laughing...well good news!
Ordered a Speedwire System yesterday!!!! I will tell you that Gil is top notch (no pun intended) and is very into the details. He worked very diligently with me to get accomplished everything I wanted. Everything is "custom" to your application and is not a cookie cutter "kit" that you buy off the shelf. He even takes phone calls on the weekends to help his customers with issues while they are at the track!!!
Overall, I believe it to be a great value for the $. Check out his site: http://gallo-teck.ca/speedwire/
I will post pics when I recieve it, but he has many on his site.

My switch panel and relay board is good to go and he is just getting all the connectors, switches and wiring in order and then will ship.
He has done everything so far without any deposit! I can't wait to get the stuff and would encourage anyone that is interested to give him a call.
