im very new when it comes to mustangs. i know nothing but my buddy has a sbc motor and t350 trans so thats what we are going to use.. its a stock 4 banger with a t5..

will i need an after market k-member? im looking at the aje racing one. but can u use that and keep the stock a-arms and shit (trying to stay very low budget).. if not that one what should i use.. or can u just get away with using motor plates and leave the factory k-member in place?

any thing else i should know? any info is much appreciated

they should be same as a factory one suspension wise as long as you get one with upper coil spring mounts so you can use the factory stuff.

If you dont you'll be buying coil overs. The only difference should be engine mounting pad location

the most exspensive part will be getting headers that fit I have a aje k member and a arms and kooks sells a set of headers just for that k member around 800 uncoated and like 1100 coated.best bet is to get a motor plat and a fab trans mount Im in the process of building mine now I went with coilovers so I dont no about stock a arms. But there are alot of people out there doing this now so keep eyes open for stuff you can find parts.Good luck.

Call Todd at Reiters , he has been doing this swap for a long time. He can hook you up with everything you will need for the swap.

I was attempting this several times. Just stick with a SBF!

with motor plates any conversion imaginable isn't all too hard. Even custom headers (especially shorty or turbo headers) aren't a big deal. A skilled header fabricator can make a set of headers in about 10 hours if one isn't available that might fit.
