I am thinking of trying to fab up my own turbo setup and was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with doing a turbo with a carb. I have heard that its hard to tune but I am only looking for maybe a 10-12psi setup. Any info or recommendations are appreciated!

There not hard to tune Every one says its hard because no one tries to experiment anymore if the shit don;t work first time around they give up.
Its not a easy set-up to learn how to tune I broke lots of stuff with mine and melted down a very pricey engine that took three years to build.. but i sure learned a ass load on what to and what no to do.
Btw.. A good place to start reading is the carb section on theturboforums.com lots of info there.

turbo stuff isn't as hard as people make it sound, just remember you need a big fuel system and many other things to go along with the turbo. theturboforums.com has a wealth of information. I got most of my parts from sponsors on that site for awesome prices. There is also a guy on there that goes by the screen name blownshovel that builds blow thru carbs for great prices and they work, I bought one from him earlier this year for my blow thru sbc and it works flawlessly.
Good luck
Put the carb in a carb box along with the atmospheric vented regulator. Thats the old school way but it works alot better. Biggest problem I have seen is getting the metering circuts to feed enough fuel. Thats the benefit of a carb box.
