if you have no large fish keeping experience these are not for you.
i need proof of a proper tank set up.
take as many as you can take care of.
no re homing fee.
there about 4-5 inches, a little over a year old.
i have 15 available.

Oscars are some of the best fish, I used to keep them along with other large cichlids. Theyre pretty damn smart too, not your typical fish. If I still had an aquarium Id be taking one of em off your hands. Do you breed Oscars?

You sound like how I was when i was your age. I was always bringing fish home (usually cichlids). Ive had oscars, dempseys, red devils, flowerhorns, convicts, firemouths, neets, etc. you should go check out Wet Thumb Aquatics...theyre out around New Haven. Theyve been breeding their own stock for over 50 years, and they ship too. Theyre only open to the public on tuesday, friday, and saturday. Even if you dont buy anything, its more than worth it to check out.

Man, I'm tempted about that albino one but I'm just not sure about their compatibility with knife fish. I picked up a clown knife the other day and I'm pretty sure it's been getting picked at by my tiger oscar. I second the, "are you getting rid of any tanks"?

So true about the, "white trash holiday"! I wont even go into detail about one house I visited. Is the pleco a common or L??? series?

in any case I have a 55 long with filter setup good for 100 (dual wheel penguin with media baskets good for 75 gal and a 25 gal whisper for shit an giggles)
tank is kept at 76ish degree year round
I do a 50 percent change once a month

The tank/fish would be better/healthier if 25-30% water changes were done 1x per week.

That's sweet about the flower horn. How old, male/female, what species? I've been getting into those lately. I'm actually trying to breed two of them at the moment in a 55 but they will need a larger tank down the road. They say to clean the tank 1-2x per week with FH's and feed 3x a day but my schedule is a little too busy for that. I do 1x per week @ 25% and feed 2x per day. pics of the fh?
