I believe early 80's. It uses a lighting coil for charging instead of the starter/generator. A friend of mine collects tractors/mowers/snowblowers, fixes and sells them. He gave me this with a Craftsman plow a few years ago, I made the plow work and I didn't realize how spoiled I was until it quit.

I'd like to see a pic of that one. I found a guy on ebay selling rebuild kits for just about any small engine. For this 14, all gaskets, piston, rings, rod, points and plug-$85. The same kit but with valves for $105.

its a pile o parts right now, its the johnny cash tractor, I really want a deck for it but im not having luck
