What is the difference? Im having a meth kit put on my car. The only thing I know that with water meth/more boost/more timing I will have more power. What is the stuff? I've heard but dont know it's basically washer solovent. Can anyone give me a run down on what it is or the difference?
Thanks
Kody

ummm, methanol is different than alcohol. meth is better performing, but is more corrosive. when you spray it under boost, it cools the air charge alot, and also burns slower, so you can use it as a fuel and add timing

No, That why I said " Im having it put on my car". Not I am going to put it on my car. Im sure before I get it back Lidio will explain everything to me. Why would I have asked those questions if I already knew the answers. But thanks for your helpful input

i bought an alky control kit on here and just got it on my car. Methanol burns cleaner and is like adding race gas. This will help to avoid detonation and bring down your engine temps. Lidio tries to run pure meth but i recommend the mix. Look at devils own or snow performance, they have pre mixed stuff. Little more expensive but better performing than windshield washer. depends on how much you drive your car

I just use denatured alcohol in my injection kit for one car (4-cyl) and windshield washer fluid rated at -20 plus 2 bottles of Heet in the other (V-8) car.
I used what the tuner told me to use.
So I'm no help..........!

Methanol is the most basic form of alcohol, maybe you meant something else but methanol is alcohol. Maybe you only consider ethanol/the stuff you drink alcohol?

Did you end up using the mix or 100% methanol?

I had one of the first snow kits developed put on my car and with that kit I was able to safely run 12 lbs through my vortech on my cobra and gained roughly 55 rwhp. Ive had some problems with it because it was one of the first ones but they have made upgrades and such to their kits, either way really cool stuff

there are few companies i have been looking at......Snow is NOT one of them.

alky control AKA Razor from the turbobuick boards and
alcoholinjectionsystems.com looks the best to me so far.

Sure, just tune wisely and keep the tank full.
