I would love to find me a f-150 300I6 truck. Keep her going. Pics of truck!
6/8/2016 315k, and it appears the head gasket has called it quits , truck is seeping water at the very front of motor above water pump, its not getting into the oil or combustion chamber. also appears there was some "stop leak" in truck since i bought it, now trying to decide if i pull the head for a gasket, or just reinstall stop leak and drive,
leak didnt appear till i flushed the hell out of the cooling system for a water pump change, truck still runs perfect has great power , just has a drip from the "leak"
Oh no :(
im not sure what to do, all brakes are new, tires are new, just replaced the ball joint and steering , drives great down the road,
im just not sure i want to tear the top off for a headgasket ,
what do you have to lose at this point try some stop leak. it don't work then you have to replace the gasket and do it right.
Try the blue devil head gasket or block sealer, shits kick ass. I got an extra 40k out of a car using that stuff. It's a lil costly at about $50 a bottle but that's cheaper than a head gasket job. Also I followed the directions and then let the car sit over night and had no issues after.
There is this guy named Murray who holds a big party ever year for the Dream Cruise down at his six stall garage in Royal Oak. One of the events is running a motor dry, and then there is a betting pool to see how long before it lets go. One year they used one of those Ford sixes and it ran so long they ended up shutting it off and raffling the money instead. Last I heard some bought it and put it in his van and it is still running. They started pouring water in the crankcase after draining it now to ensure they get a windowed block and a winner!

Have you considered trying some GM coolant pellets? They have worked on a lot of stuff over the years and that's pretty much the only sealer i'll use.
Blue devil is in followed the instructions to the letter, 150 miles later dry as a bone, system builds excellent pressure so far so good,
Cool, that shits kick ass for the price and time involved lol
i flushed the system 3 times, even drove witht eh cleaner in it for about 100 miles , water came out real clean
6 months and 10k miles later
still going rolled 324k today heat works fine leaks a little coolant no idea where ,
Im pretty sure it was my suburban so coolant leaks baffle me
For what it is worth, my father-in-law drives a 1999 Ford E350 van that he bought in 2001. It currently has 480k miles on it. His mechanic says one of the cylinders is getting weak on compression. The van does not owe him anything.
Thanks for sharing feedback on the Blue Devil sealant. Please keep this post updated with progress on your F-150.

well 330k and the leak has reappeared,
so it lasted about a year and 15k ,
i have purchased a rusted to hell 95 F150 (120K miles) with the same drive train and will be doing a drive train swap,
ill invest about 800 total into the swap but should be able to drive pedro 2-3 more years as its still rust free and a babe magnet
so if anybody needs porno red F150 interior parts let me know
Just add more blue devil lol
im tempted, and just leave it in for the summer with water,
but knowing my luck it will pop bad in the winter and ill be doing a motor swap in January.
That's awesome. I thought of you when I saw this yesterdau
