Car looks killer Joe!Cant wait to see it.Love that color for some odd reason!
Thanks again! I only have one good rear wheel left, so I'll buy another Trak Star to match that one. For the front wheels I think I might go with the M/T one piece, since they have the same "sun flare" design as the Track Stars but a thinner spoke. What do you guys think?

$355 per wheel?????
Yep, but that's much less per wheel than the Trak Stars I had. I did like those wheels!

well...got a sneak preview of the coupe tonight, and all i can say is WOW! the pics really don't do it justice. once the car is completely assembled, that blue is really gonna stand out! gotta throw some props to mike, the paint/body man. to get the car fixed, and back in color this fast is nothing short of amazing. he's a nice guy, but obviously a pit-bull when he sinks his teeth into a project. nice meetin' ya, bro....!!
as for the wheels, i like the black magnums, myself, but the rears need more black on them to look proportionate with the fronts. i've seen black beadlocks on the rears, but unless you're in the low eights, high sevens, they look rather pretentious. on joes car, i'd say the trak stars should go back on the front. a polished wheel will complement the fox bodys lack of brightwork nicely.
Car is lookin great joe
Fine job joe looks sweet. cant wait to see out.
Car looks great Joe. Especially the rocker. Can't wait till you get it done so I can take it for a spin.
I've been told I have a big head. :nayner:
Can't wait to see it. You know how much I like blue coupes.
Most guys have a red notch. Some notch whores have two. :haha:
sweet color
WOW looking great Joe. badass color choice
Hey JoeP, any new pics?
love the color!
Thanks, Mike (the body/paint guy) is really coming through on this job. I didn't do much but strip the car down, and he knocked out all this work in an unreal amount of time.
No new pictures yet, but much of the paint has been wet sanded and buffed. It looks like glass! I can't wait to get this thing assembled, the trim and wheels should really set of the color.
THANKS TEAM Z!!!!!!!!!!
Dave offered some help with the rebuild and generously donated a few suspension parts that needed replacement. He also took time away from his lunch break to setup my k-member in the assembly jig to make sure it was still straight(it is). Thanks again Team Z, I appreciate the help more than you know!!!

Joe, how bout some new pics?
If you need any help turning wrenches once it goes back together let me know.I'm always free on sundays :D just shoot me a PM kind of in limbo right now with my car being at TeamZ.
Looking good so far I really like the blue!
Thanks for the offer!
Sorry, no real progress to show this week. Mike has been sick, but has the doors and fenders almost ready for paint. I tore down the motor over the last few days for a checkup, and everything still looks great. I have a new set of BME alluminum rods and Diamond pistons to go in, so the crank will need a rebalance.Quote:
Joe, how bout some new pics?
Yes, it is very nice. That is, it's nice to see there are still some real "car guys" out there who are willing to help someone who is in need. The kind of guys that WANT to help, and go out of their way to do something generous, while expecting nothing in return. That's what a "car club" is all about.
Then, there are the type who sit around miserable and jealous of those who may have something nice. The kind of person who expects something for nothing most of the time, too selfish to help another. Never willing to go out of the way for anybody, and always asking "what about me?".
So, what type of person are you? I hope neither you or anyone else never have to go through something like this, you may just find out who your friends really are. Luckily, I have a few good friends! ;)
well said Joe.
If anyone deserves a hand it's Joe P. Other than being short is pretty much the nicest guys around.
Since I can't figure it out, just imagine a video here in this box of Dionee Warwick singing that's what friends are for.
Sorry for the fail, not sure how to do it and too lazy to look.
:finger: Screw you guys...
Anyway... Nah, I'm not mad. But I really hope that's not the way people feel. I'm as guilty as anyone for botching up my wording in posts, but I'm also man enough to admit when I make a mistake, appologize, and hopefully just move on. So, let's move on! :icon_bigg
