I will say having a nicer camera allows you to do a little more things and have a little nicer image quality than lesser expensive cameras...
But at the same time, someone could have a 8k dollar camera set up and not know anything about the composition of a photograph or anything like that and the pics would look like crap.
Moral: Even if you do not have the nicest camera in the world, you can still get nice shots that are compositionaly very pleasing. So go out and shoot with whatever you have. It might be fun and self fulfilling if you could get some of your own pics and get them framed.
