yea it has, i got $.08/lb for my scrap steel sheet metal about a month ago, not sure what Al. is at
time to keep an eye out on sawzall demands... thieves will ramp back up slicing off catalytic converters...
copper is down
Red Metals in Redford today.
Steel $0.055/#
Cast iron $0.070#
Aluminum $0.45/#
Would have liked that $0.08/# mentioned above since I had 1/2 ton of it..

Don’t bring your catalytic converters here I didn’t get sh#t for an old one I had
In all honesty, I wish they didnt recycle cats, or only recycled cats from vehicles that you have a valid MI registration (I know they have $$$$ in materials).... it would stop the dirty thieves with sawzalls from taking them in the mall parking lots. It's happened to quite a few of my friends in Macomb. Macomb mall, Lakeside and Partridge Creek.
When the cat craze happened, someone sliced off the foe converter on my vehicle. If the thief knew any better they could've guessed it was not what they wanted by the nearby exhaust clamp it was being clamped by...
$10 for a converter... extremely low
I was about to ask how much converters were going for. I got one of my 89 Wagoneer but I don't think it will be worth my time to drive to the scrap yard...
