Anyone close to Westland that can turn off PATS?
My daily driven Mustang GT has begun to shut off randomly while driving. When this happens the gauges drop to 0 and my odometer shows all dashes "-------". Also, my theft light blinks rapidly when this happens. When the dashes are showing, the engine will turn over normally but will not start. If I let the car sit for a few minutes then lock and un-lock the doors with the key fob, the odometer will show mileage again and the car will start and drive until the issue begins again a few minutes later. I have checked and cleaned all grounds going to the radiator support and replaced my CCRM and cluster with known good. I still have the issue. Due to the engine having no trouble turning over but not starting when the odometer shows dashes and the theft light going crazy, I'm thinking I'm having an intermittent failure within the PATS system. If anyone local to the Westland aria has a capable scanner that can disable the PATS system, please let me know your price and availability. Thanks, Dave
