The Trackhawk was cool, and fun, but $91,000, ahhhh NO!
My review: http://hooniverse.store/reviews/road...ecause-we-can/
awd straight line fun low 10s (on any track) works for me
and swap tires and enjoy snow
Yep, between the $20-$40K premium for the engine, and the interior that would be questionable in a $45,000 vehicle. It's cool, it's no where near $90K cool.
Then again the 2019 Silverado LTZ I just turned it was an absolute JOKE at $60,000 as well. That truck is a DISTANT third in the Half Ton market right now.
Everything is expensive right now sadly; its a bit out of control. That said for what you get at $90K compared to other performance SUV's it's a freaking steal. Wife was eyeing a Cayenne Turbo for a couple of years if the Trackhawk wasn't going to happen (as she really loved her SRT Jeeps). So we got a faster vehicle (with admittedly less plush stuff lol) and saved around $60K LOL Same for the X5M etc.
All that tech and safety stuff costs money. Just a side effect of living in a world where just about anybody can take an 8 week course that requires only 3 hours behind the wheel to get their license lol. I have this feeling most cars are now designed two ways; to protect inattentive soccer moms talking on cell phones, and protecting the people they hit.
I spent considerable time (weeks) driving all variations of hellcats, Demons, scat packs, SRT Durangos, GCs and Trackhawks, before they were introduced to the public. The one I would want the most is the Trackhawk. Simply amazing and I don't think there is anything out there like it w/o spending a bunch more $$. It is great at everything except fuel economy!!
Good for you, it's important to alot of people though. Most don't want to loose the value of a midsize car from the purchase price in a year.
What a great looking truck. They have one at Fox Hill looking fantastic holding down the linoleum Everytime I drive by.
At $90k you can just buy a nicer truck. At $60k it's a good buy imo other than Chrysler made it.
$90K is Land Cruiser money. You would have to really, really like going fast to justify the TrackHawk.
Land Cruiser completely different, for me a land cruiser is an outrageously expensive way to go offroading when you can do it in a $2,000 cherokee xj. I know it's not a comparison, but for me the xj is all I need. Guess it boils down to priorities.
land cruiser what lol
I've never once saw a Land Cruiser out on the trails. I always see Jeeps and other domestic trucks, but never a Land Cruiser. My wife has a JK and we like to take it off-roading. Our favorite is taking it on the primitive roads in the UP, such a blast going places other vehicles can't go.
Maybe I’m missing something but land cruisers are ugly as fuck and I can’t figure out why they cost 85k. Can someone name a performance suv or truck that comes close to this at its 85k start price? I don’t think so. I am kind of surprised about the interior comment though. I always loved the higher end jeep interiors.
is the next comment gonna be about a typhoon?
fyi trackhawk above will be touching 9s without nitrous
sucks gm has only the past
The trailblazer in no way competes with the Trackhawk. And considering it was 12 years ago the price is probably closer than it seems in today's dollars. I've always thought the Grand Cherokee premium interiors were excellent.
guess they didnt see the trackhawk win the milan december event
yeah we keep getting how much you love jeep
9 second vehicles don't need any defending....funny how posting a cool picture of something on drag radials turns into
if you are talking jeep compass and patriot yeah those are lower class interiors, I don't group anything like that with my charger interior which has been excellent for all 7 years
First vehicle I'd buy with a windfall would be a trackhawk. Those vehicles are incredible, I'd love to drive one. I'd also DD it.
