Thank God they didn't nab our carriers, as that was what they were targeting. If they would have done so, we'd be speaking Japanese right now. Today is the 67th year to the very day, sunday.
Godspeed to the 250,000+ soldiers, airmen, marines, and sailors that lost their lives defending this land in that war. Without their brave sacrifices, who knows what would have happened...
GOD BLESS AMERICA. This is always a hard day for me.
I hope to move to Hawaii within a year. I really look forward to diving some of those sunken ships!!!!
Godspeed to all that lost their lives for us!
12/7 is my birthday as well!
Like Trunk I read/watch everything I can on WWII. Those were times of selfless commitment to the country by all citizens, and like all wars, by those that serve to protect us. I wish we could experience that in my lifetime without resorting to war. This country would be a much better place.
A great WWII series is Battlefields, I see it on the military channel but I really want to own it on DVD.
My opinion are that the two greatest battles of WWII were Iwo Jima in the Pacific and the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes.
Many thanks to all that are serving and that have served.
The greatest Generation. When their country called, They dident ask why, they just did their Duty.

Freedom is never free. Unfortunatly every year we loose more and more of these freedoms.
Even so, Thanks to my service I've been all over the world. And I'm proud to say that this is still, By Far, the best country on this little blue marble.
God bless our fallen soldiers! :gr_patrio
