I hear ya! If I didn't already own my 1999 Silverado, I could easily
pull the trigger on this one. You should think twice about not getting
this one now, if it is what you'd like to get in the future.
These are just not that common in this condition-price-miles-options.
Not a CL find, but damn would I love one of these. https://www.carthrottle.com/post/thi...-price-record/
I loved my 1986 Merkur XR4TI. It was the American version
of the Europe Sierra (same car).
I bought mine as a 4 year old car at a bank repo auction for
$3,250 - she was in perfect condition with new tires! The car
cost over $18,000 new in 1986.
A great car, one the the finest manual trans cars I ever owned,
and very nice performance from that sweet 4 cyl. turbo. Mine was
also white, with the double rear wing & power moonroof.
There is one, and only one on Ebay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/1988-Ford-X...NZqZbB&vxp=mtr
There are a couple of Merkur fans on here. Also, a guy in Milan had a couple of them years ago, lived on Church Street.
Here it is... 13k miles, 5-speed, Fiji Blue... just kicked over $11,000. I can see it hitting $15,000

^^^ Nice Mike!
I really like the features of the earlier model, but
that one looks like a nice one for the money.
It's amazing how much the XR4Ti goes for now. 10+ years ago, I saw tons under $1500.
