top Gear is..........

Currently filming down here in North Carolina!!!!! they are on Grandfather mountain and the blue ridge parkway. i'm willing to bet they will get some shots on the tail of the dragon too. :D

The world's most watched car program, the BBC's Top Gear, was at Grandfather today filming the opening to an episode on NASCAR Country. James May arrived in the Ferrari 458 Italia, Jeremy Clarkson in the (gull wing) Mercedes Benz AMG SLS and Richard Hammond drove up in the Porsche 911 GT3...

And we'll get to see it here in 2012.

Naaah - we'll see it here within the next season or so, but it'll have to be downloaded :)

I am not feeling the american hosts...I have not seen the show but the orginal is all about the hosts, cars are cool but those guys are stoopid!

Thats awesome. I love that show because they will take a $500,000 supercar, and call it a pile of shit. :lol: Most of their opinion is from a performance and practical standpoint and combine that with being brutally honest it makes for good TV.

I thought they said tanner faust was one of the american hosts?
totally blew off american top gear b/c of that...

I usually grab the torrent of the newly released shows on Sunday night after it airs on BBC in the UK. I can't miss an episode.

and some redneck running shine in a 87 mustang blew them off the road!

I was down at V.I.R this weekend and they were telling some stories about the episode's track escapades. Sounds like it should be a good episode.

That show kicks butt!! My wife and 14 year-old are just as into it as I am. The U.S. "attempt" was lame at best.
From reading some of these threads, I'll bet we could get funnier hosts right off Motown Muscle.

You realize the initial US attempt didn't even hit the air? And they now have 3 other guys doing it and it will be on the History Channel... :)

Adam Carolla was one of the original US hosts. I think he would have been OK.

Bumping this, Episode aired today and it is out there!

Not bad, pretty funny in spots.
