I agree, it does look a little like the GMC, but the F150
looks great.
I also understand why Ford (and most car makers) don't
radically change a top-selling vehicle. You want just enough
change to attract new buyers, but no so much to lose those
that really like the current look.
If you go back a bit, the P552 F150 (2015-2020) had a very similar body style with a refresh in 2018. GMC/Chevy recently updated and now looks like the last model F150. The new F150s a slight body change and different truck in all the hidden places, for the most part.
Also, rumor was, that GM drafted a bunch of Ford design team and engineers (responsible for the aluminum truck change) who helped with the new GM truck update

FWIW, I like the new GMCs (Silverados look like crap), probably because they have F150 features lol.
Has some nice features, but I think I'd buy a Ram over an F150 or GM truck.
