Mine sits about 13" away
Autometer says "Turbocharged applications should have sensor installed 4-5 after turbo on the down pipe." But mine works just fine at 13"

Mine is further down as well. It went in where I had a bung available to use.
Ok thanks guys!!!!!
Mine works fine IN the hotside, before the turbo.
I've placed the af sensor 10-18" with best results closer to 10". Mostly depends on temperatures and how much unspent fuel it'll see.
Mine are about 12" from the turbine side. RE-working everything with this new motor and going to move them closer as i had some weird variances looking at eh logs form bank to bank and I'm wondering if it was due to placement as i had them in the radius of a bend. Keep them between 10 to 2 oclock in the pipe so moisture doesn't mess them up.
Ok running E-85 does that change location at all?
Shouldn't.
