roll cage install questions

installing a roll cage in a chevy luv truck. putting in a new cage to tie the truck in better want to go to the frame rails with the cage the maker of the cage said that for the cage to go to the frome you have to weld 2x3 tube to the frame for the main hoop to go through the floor and weld the cage to those does this sound correct any help will be greatly appreciated

Yep. Full frame vehicle such as a truck needs the cage tied into the frame. you can use outriggers off the frame to get closer to the outside edges of the truck. Theres a really good thread on yellow bullet in the chassis section on caging a truck. Lots of pics too.
