The aod will be fine as long as it's rebuilt and mildly upgraded.
Awesome!..... Looks like work is getting done
A couple of more questions out of curiosity.. only because for some reason i'm really digging this project
What are you doing on the hot side? And what are your goals in the end? Grudge car, street sleeper?
I'm also thinking that possibly a 87-88 Turbo coupe hood might fit it? :dontknow:
At this point, just a fun street car. The turbo kit is flanged and built around small turbos. The idea is to get the car up and running in a basic form and get use to the car. After the car is "done" who knows, it'll get fiddled with here and there.
Your idea on the Thunderbird hood is close to right. It will fit but, the grill area were different sizes and shapes making the hoods just a little different.

Could I do a front end conversion? Probably but, I have a feeling sourcing the parts would make it 100% not worth it.
I think you should not swap front ends. Maybe fab those scoops into your stock hood tho
Saying good bye to the electric brake system.

The worst part about putting a 4g63 into this car is, figuring out what wires have to stay and which can go. The majority of this harness is for the air ride and brake system which, is all controlled from the trunk.
