A little extra cam and compression??? Sounds like a plan.. An aftermarket intake? Headers too? Pocket port? :twak:moo
Im using a 1971 400 block crank & heads
heads fully reconditioned new guides and seats on the exhaust 2.02 intake 1.65 exhaust
Keith Black pistons 9.3-1 compression ratio with quench
Comp Cam with matching springs mid range for torque 1500-5500 rpm
rotating assembly sent over to Crankshaft Craftsman full balance
I bought he pistons from Tmeyer engine on Minnesota who is a cleveland engine expert
with this cam the engine should make 325 HP and 425 pounds of torque which should make my old land yacht move down the road nicely
also Edelbrock intake 600 cfm carb dual exhaust
Budget for an EFI system? That thread a few days back has efi on my mind for old cars. So this will still be a 351 or a 400/408?
400 .030 over 408
essentially the early 400 was a tall deck cleveland engine the 351m was a de stroked 400
swap out rods and crank the blocks are the same
thought about using aFi Tech EFI and run it on E85 but I'm seriously thinking of selling it to a kid I work with
he offered the (i dont wanna sell it ) price to me for it
Hmm....looks like the price is going up. Ha
Bad ass! There's nothing like a land yacht with a little steam under the hood. My imperial got a few goodies when I rebuilt the 440 in it.
That Edelbrock 600 is too small for 408 IMO.
