    Default 6'6" + '92 Notch w/6 pt cage

Alrighty....so I may *finally* be getting a Mustang....a '92 Notch at that. The vehicle currently has a 6 pt. roll bar in it and the middle bar is situated in that the driver's seat does not go back all the way.

Well, I'm 6'6" and most of my height is in my legs. With that said, I do not fit in the car very well at all. If I do go through with the deal on the car, the first thing I'll be doing is getting the bar cut out and hopefully replacing the whole roll cage.

My question is, what options do I have to retain a comfortable driving position and have the safety/track requirement of a roll bar? The car is stock interior with the rear seat delete.

I've seen the cross bar bent towards the back of the car to allow full adjustment of the driver seat and the other this is going with a kirkey to lower you in the car in case your head sticks up too high

Yup, bend the cross bar back a bit. Allowed the factory seat in my f-body to have full range of motion.

Like mentioned, having a Kirkey seat put in also opens up all kind of room if the stock seat doesn't give you enough. They're surprisingly comfortable too.

Have a new bar made up, so you can move the seat all the way back.

Thanks for all the replies, folks.

I think I'm going through with this deal and will give Reiter's or Stenod a call to see about the cage solution. I'm hoping what's there is salvagable, but I'll let the pros make that determination.
