    Default Road Race 87 Camaro

At this point in time it’s a street and track day toy, but I’m building the car to the American Iron / American Iron Extreme ruleset http://www.americanironracing.com/
Here are some pictures from Grattan last fall:

Then I pulled it completely apart to put in a cage, hard top roof conversion, and quite a few other odds and ends. Here are some of the most recent pics.

The car should be around 2900 lbs by the next time its on track. Some highlights of the mods:
350 SBC, trick flow heads, single plane efi
    Jerico 4 speed transmission
Custom 8.625" Axle with aluminum center section and Torsen T2R
    18x10.5 Zo6 wheels x4 with Hoosier GAC's
    Koni Shocks
    C5 brakes front and rear
    Decouple Torque Arm

    More info here: www.f-bodysport.com

I’m going to need some help with body work and paint here pretty soon. Anyone know someone that is interested in doing some moonlighting? I live in Royal Oak.

In due time Dash bar will serve as the rear mount for a Wilwood pedal assembly and I haven't decided where I want it exactly yet. It will most likely be welded to the door bars 4-6" from the A-pillar bars.

I'm also going to add a set of supports to the a-pillars, but I need to get the doors on and make sure I can still see the mirrors. The Cage is 95% done.

Wow, nice stuff. How well does the C5 brakes work/hold up? I'm going to a wildwood setup this winter. I hope to have mine out for a couple open track days next year at Waterford Hills.

The C5 brakes are great. They are a proven and cheap set-up that many road racers use. What set of Wilwoods do you have?

For more track days check out www.3ballsracing.com

Also, check out www.frrax.com, good site for F-body's that do the turning and stopping thing.
