    Default 8.8 gear instal

    im planning on doing gears in my sn95 - 5.0
    its a v6 5.0 swap.
    its got the 7.5 in it.
    but i bought a 8.8 with a stock gear.
    i heard its not easy to install gears.
    my question is.
    so does anyone no where to go and how much they charge??

    Thanks Dave for the reference, Bench labor is less than on the casr labor. Give me a call when you can, need to know what you have and what you need to assemble your 8.8.

    Yep have a shop do it.....Its not so much the INSTALL that is hard....Its shimming the ring and pinion properly.....If this cruital step is not correct, it can lead to noise all the way to complete system FAILLURE!!.

    Have the pros do it!!

    scotts the man. I put mine in myself everything seemed right good backlash and tracking...oops didn't put enough friction plates in when I put the posi back together got to the track and SNAP there goes that. took it to scott and he had it done in no time. he also put the Detroit locker and axles in my truck, extremely good work. bottom line scotts the EXPERT go to him
