    It's private label Sherwin-Williams so it's comparable to (if not the same as) their other paints.

    It really depends on what your looking to spend on materials and the quality.

    Any Glasurit,RM or Limco product is great, but I'm biased

    would this have been base, clear in 82 ? or was it one stage ? would the paint from napa be the same ?

    It may very well be base/clear, the early 80's was a transition time from acrylic enamel to base clear so not every color was yet available in base/clear. Take some 2000 grit and wet sand a small area and see if color comes off

    it does, but its very faded so that could have something to do with it

    Sand an area in the door jam that hasn't seen much weathering.

    Your gonna want to put base/clear on the car regardless of what was on there from the factory, unless your going to sell the car than put whatever is cheapest
