To attempt the destruction of our passions is the height of folly. What a noble aim is that of the zealot who tortures himself like a madman in order to desire nothing, love nothing, feel nothing, and who, if he succeeded, would end up a complete monster!

Thanks guys! These really are street wheels although they do have an SFI rating. Can't wait to get on the fronts.

It takes 2 spacers to clear easily. Not cool. Soap offered to put his eyeballs on this and help me figure a plan. My brain is getting mushy.

On a good note the new tires are going to be killer. Back to back there is a HUGE difference and I can't wait to boil them good. The tire/wheel combo is much heavier than I hoped. I overlooked how much actual rubber there is in these tires at this size. These aint no 15" Welds with bias-plys. The GT500 wheel wells are big and I think it swallows up that 28.8 in tire well. 30's would be a breeze.

I'll keep y'all posted on the fronts. At least I have some traction now.
I was wondering whether the fronts will fit. I know you probably ordered the 18" thinking you would clear the brakes, but the Brembos are really wide. That is usually where the fittment issues come in. You dont want to be running those with a 2" spacer. I guess for now use your stock fronts and it's time to "redesign" your skinny fronts to have a good amount of offset to clear your brakes.

The believe the screw-up was on Centerlines part. They had the back-spacing from the start but over the lengthy time-line and the switch from 7" to 5" something got lost. I was assured a 5" would work but in hind sight I should have stayed with the 7". It's been a bummer.
