It's a pad that is supposed to make sanding easier, cut fast and better leveling. It goes between the DA pad & the paper

I just picked up the set up for my National Detroit. I have been using them for wet sanding headlights to knock down the fog.
I really bought it for wetsanding my next paint job. I'm gonna hit it with a DA and 1500 grit, then got over it with a hand block with 2000 and rub it. If I go bc/cc paint, I'm gonna put 3 coats of clear. If I go Dupont Ful-Thane Urethane single stage paint, I'm gonna lay 4-5 coats. I'm afraid I might go through as well, since I've never tried it on fresh paint. Any tips, besides....like "keep it moving" or "don't stay in one spot too long" I know all that. Any other things?

I used to be 'with it'. Then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm 'with' isn't 'it', and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me.......
