    Turbo 400 with converter and NP203 transfer case.... Holy cast iron batman, took 4 of use wrestle this into my Acadia... I think I'll be separating the tcase from trans to get it back out. Ooof

    throw a few towels under it!! gear oil and trans fluid are bad smells.

    I have a 1500HD, but the converter clutch has been acting up, and a 25mpg SUV was better than 11mpg. I honestly forgot how heavy the iron tcase is, and the last th400 I hefted didn't have a converter, 140# is manageable. But over 400# combined... Oy.

    That's why the all weather door mat is there. .. Still in the truck, I might get the picker out and take some weight off to maneuver, and not separate until it's in the garage.

    3/8 thick plate steel, bent and welded inside and out

    They feel like weapons

    Those are sexy looking. I love great fabrication work. Are you having them powder coated? Those would look nice done in hammer tone with the axles black.
