I'd like to have the reassembly finished this weekend, and maybe even scale it if I have time. I'm switching back to slicks I think, and probably will need to change the gear. The trans was just freshened/updated by Lang, but the engine hasn't been apart in 2-3 years and needs maintenance.
So, no way I'll make Milan heads up next Friday, but it should be making test hits in August.

im confused is this a race car or a show car? if its a race car its the prettiest one ive ever seen
To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you give me a hand?" You can say, "Sorry, got these sacks."

I buttoned up the front of the car today. The dominator was literally touching the hood before, so I added a smoked lexan scoop from Innovative Racecraft. It's a very well built scoop, but I gotta say they have the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Plus damn, the thing is pretty ugly now that it's installed. I already bought a fiberglass snorkle scoop to replace it, and will need another hood whenever I get to it...

A closer look at the scoop shows where I had to cut out a section of the bottom and make an aluminum plate to bolt in so the scoop is centered in the hood. It's a long story... I guess it turned out ok, I'm just not a huge fan of the giant square mailbox look. I'm sure it will be a functional improvement.

I spent all day Saturday assembling the Motorcity doors. The window frames were masked and painted flat black. I used the Moroso latch linkage kit with hiem joint ends and factory latches. The aluminum door latch levers got polished. I installed some door limiter straps. The side windows are also Optic Armor (cut to fit) and were installed with black anodized screws. The doors turned out really well and everything works nice.

I scaled the car this week, looks like 280 lbs less than last year with me in it at 2539 total (no bars, still on 275 Pro's). Good start, but I'll keep looking for more as time/budget allows.
Guess that's a wrap for now, time to tweak the little stuff and get out to test. Thanks for watching!
