    Hey Ryan;

    You have any suggestions for high build primer that will play nice with the paint? It will be a basecoat clear coat app. I believe he said it is urethane, but I'm not sure on that. I want to say I used like a DPX or something like that on mine. It was purple.

    If you want to take mine for a while, we can do that. That way I don't have to come up with a clever reason for it spending a few week in her parking spot.

    I was just curious about the type of primer, that's all. I had a feeling it was a rattle can deal. It looked pretty thin. You can get a quart of high build 2k for like $40, since you are only spot priming it would be enough. That rattle can high build stuff adds up and doesn't cover or fill for crap. I personally would move to a 2k deal. Just lookin out! Project looks good!

    Transtar EZ sand is affordable, fills and sands great and you can top coat it with your base/clear.

    Ok. I think we are going to change locations so I can work on it easier. It's hard with the two kids and an expecting wife to go across town for the day to work on it. If I have it here, I can poke at it after they all go to sleep. I agree on the primer, we need to make a change. The car is really straight. It's in much better shape than mine was, so it should look really good for him. We'll have to talk more after I have it out here. Thanks.

    Why don't you get the front end put back together and pick a day to trade cars for a while. If we can't find a booth to paint it in, we'll just paint it here I guess. It will be a while before we are ready for that anyway. At least a month or so max, but I will ba able to make some real headway on it for you. You can take my car and it's cover and it will be fine as long as it is inside a garage. I'm really not in a position to do much to mine right now anyway, so let's make yours look like mine. That will give me my fix for a while. LOL.
