its a mustang notch and my bumper suports have been removed. has a cross brace where chute mounts but does not support bumper in anyway. is it ok to just mount the struts mounts to the cover will it hold or does it need to have supports ran to it

i ran mine to the cover and it was fine. the cover has bolts near the taillights so it will have some support there.
