If you are referring to the bolt pattern being different for the 99+ L wheels, you are correct, but the holes can be drilled out to a larger size to bolt up on the older trucks... Not sure if they would fit how they are designed on your older truck. (Hubcentric) I sold a set of 99 L wheels that were on my 93 lightning, just had to drill them out with an 11/16ths drill bit I believe it was.

did a back yard lowering job choped 1anda half coils in front and fliped the rear came out pretty good
Damn, that thing looks good lowered!!! Lovin' the wheels, hit em up with some polish, and they will look REALLY good.
something else that might be cheap and may look good is moving the front bumper in closer to the truck.
