Which sub? You can roll your own very cheap. Get a pair of Eminence Alpha 15As: http://www.parts-express.com/eminenc...river--290-407 and put them in MJK H-frames: http://www.quarter-wave.com/OBs/U_and_H_Frames.pdf The dimensions of the H-Frames are 17" x 17" x 17", with the baffle sitting in the middle of the cube. The speaker goes on the baffle in the middle. boosted gts EV amp listed above would complement them nicely, and theyll give a very detailed bass without sounding boomy. Open baffle woofers have a huge advantage in that they are not adversely affected by room reflections. You can build 2 with brand new components for ~$300. You will spend double that or more on a decent consumer-grade subwoofer.
