Default 16k Mile EcoBoost Engine Disassembled at Livernois

We purchased a good, running 16k mile take-out engine from a 2010 Taurus SHO for engine development. This will lead to some exciting things...

We have a few SHO guys now with minimal mods running low 12's with one close to the 11's..

I was going to document the entire tear-down, unfortunately the guys in engine build got excited to see what was inside..

Bad quality cell phone photo with valve covers removed

    Block

    Crankshaft

    Rod/Piston

    Cylinder Head

    Intake

    Exhaust

Blurry photo... just for size reference

    EcoBoost "a la-cart"

I got excited when I saw Eco-boost. Thought there might have been a truck tune ready

It's comin.... hopefully soon. The encryption is tougher to crack than we originally thought. I have a list of almost 300 people waiting for it.

I have been waiting for A 2011 Dodge Ram tuner for a year. These new trucks aren't easy to get into I guess.....

I agree with gutted fox body. Then again, a first generation SHO or Ranger would be sweet.

I have a customer that wants to buy this for his SHO as soon as we make forged parts and port the heads.
