    Default Paint removal and archaeology

What is your recommendation or technique for removing one layer of paint at a time? My current project has factory paint markings on the frame that have been covered by (probably) rattle can paint. I'm trying to 'see' the original markings to either salvage or reproduce them.

thinner cut with water will make rattle can paint wipe off
To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you give me a hand?" You can say, "Sorry, got these sacks."

Just what moneypit said... It's the only way I know to control the amount you wipe off
