Let's settle it... The Great Video Forum Debate

If I want to see funny videos, cat memes, or cop beat-downs on tape I can just go to Reddit or 50 other websites.

If it's YOUR typical video post of a cop beating someone, and has a topic of discussion with it, then put that shit in the news/hot topics/debates forum.

Here's a breakdown of the last 28 videos that I have posted on MM, going back almost a year:

Car/vehicle related - 15
Cop related - 4 (one was positive, praising the officer)
My kid - 2
Random - 6
Sports - 1

Plus, I hate authority of any kind. So if the powers that be want a separate forum for videos, I don't.

No matter, I seldom post here anymore anyway.

Although I lke the video sub forum for the reason of I can go there and see what vids are up, I feel if you want to post a video or picture in the pub, you should be able to. Say for instance, some pretty serious video is going around and you want to make more members then just those who view the video forum see the said video, then you should be able to do that.

Video section is definitely useful. It's managed to get 100k+ posts. I could see it being annoying if they were all transplanted in the pub. Alot of sites have video sections because there are members that pretty much only post or reply to vid threads.

I also don't see why it's a big deal if posts get moved there. Imagine if all the bickering we did in Hot Topics was moved to the pub.

I can see how the separate forum for videos can slow you down or be a hindrance when you are wasting time on an internet car forum instead of doing something else you just put off.

What is the real problem with video forum? I don't see the reason for the complaining other than to complain.

I don't think a forum is necessary, but rules are rules. Until the rules get changed I say post in the appropriate section.

I actually like that style. Sort of like how the slickdeals.net forum is set up where you can click a type of deal and it only shows you that.

I like having a seperate forum for videos and it's amusing watching them moved from the pub to video forum.

X2 and X2. All this site really needs is The Pub, Hot Topics/News, Grudge Races, and the For Sale section .

If we did that I would not go into 2 of the 4 forums.
